The village of Estry is part of the Usil Islands. A farming culture, they largely trade in sheep’s wool at the markets in the capital city of Ibysil. Usilanders in the central part of the island are known for their quality wool and intricately embroidered clothing.
Every spring, the local villages of Emon, Estry, and Evak gather together for a celebration called Myr-A-Bell.

Shadow Cat.
The shadow cat is a predator of the Usil islands. A solitary animal, it exists among the rocky hills and misty forests of the island interior.
When hunting, the shadow cat uses its unique ability to dissolve into darkness and reappear a short distance away. This clever predator is a particular hazard to sheep farms in the highlands.

Cranberry Blossom fest is happening this week in Wisconsin Rapids. I will have a booth set up in the craft/vendor space on Saturday. I’ll have copies of book 1 and book 2 available for purchase. You can pick up a signed copy right there and then so come down and say hello!
